Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara : Review

Hello loves! I'm going to share to you one of my holy grail products that I have discovered just recently. And it is Fashion 21's Double Up Mascara. I've been trying to discover local brands in the Philippines lately and it is actually a nice idea because many local products now offer high quality and can be listed next to other international brands. Fashion 21 is among those rising local brands because of its promising products. I have tried few of their products and I'm really satisfied.

Going on with this blog post, as I am starting to build up my collection, I'm purchasing basic makeup needs for a beginner like me and it includes mascara. I actually have naturally long lashes but it gets even more emphasized with the right mascara.

I found this product just by mere accident because supposedly I was going to buy Maybelline mascaras since they've got a variety of them but then I strolled around the department store and went on looking for other brands and got interested with it.

I got this product for only P225 which I think is reasonable enough since mascaras do lie on this price range. The saleslady also told me that this product is one of their bestsellers.

I love how the product looks like in its packaging. It comes in a red tub, looking sleek and not cheap. I like that the brand is visible on the tub as well as its manufacturing date.

It is a bit curvy in the middle to have a better grip on this product. The size is just right and can be carried anywhere. It won't actually take much of space on your makeup purse.

The wand is promising with its length, it is visibly long which is just perfect so you can apply the product well on your lashes and its tiny bristles is very much helpful in applying the product on your tiny lashes such as at the corner of the eyes and lower lashes too. You can expect your mascara to be precisely applied and you will have less mistakes.

This product promises to lengthen and strengthen lashes up to two times. I also like that this product is waterproof and smudge-proof which is one of the downsides of other mascaras. This product tends to rubberize thus avoiding smudges on eyes even when in contact with water.

This is how the product looks like on my lashes and I can definitely say that this product did lengthen my lashes. It felt like I was wearing false eyelashes because it defined my lashes perfectly. It took about 3-5 minutes to dry, not that bad.

You won't have any problem on its longevity too since it can last you roughly 9 hours without retouches.

With that being said, I'm going to give this product a rate of 5/5 because this is just too perfect. It seems like it's too good to be true but it is the truth.

I highly recommend this to all makeup lovers out there who are looking for their mascara partners. You won't regret it!

I hope you guys like this blog. More posts soon! Thanks for dropping by and God bless!

Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil : Review

Hello everyone! I'm getting the hang of doing reviews and I know that it is also helpful to other makeup lovers so here's another review and this time it is Fashion 21's Perfect Stick with tea tree oil which is actually a stick foundation slash concealer because it can do both jobs.

I stumbled over the department store today and saw this. I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about this product and wanna try it myself. It's my first time to use such product because I'm used to wearing cake foundation especially with my oily skin but why not give this product a try.

Fashion 21 released their stick foundation first, the original ones before this line. This product was released most especially for those who have oily and sensitive skin. It contains tea tree oil which is known to reduce allergic skin reactions and has SPF 50+ which is way higher than the usual SPFs on other foundation, just perfect especially when exposed to sun.

It comes in a mint green tub, similar with that of Maybelline's BB Stick if you are familiar with.
I love the color, it looks trendy and  playful.

This product has minty scent to it. If you are familiar with eficascent oil, it's quite similar to that although it's just a hint of scent, it's not really bothering especially when it is already applied on the face.

I got mine in the shade of Okinawa Tea. I believe there are 2 other shades under this line. Warm Tea which is the darkest shade and perfect for contouring and the Irish Tea which has a yellow undertone. I got the lightest shade just because this is the closest I could get for my skin color,

It costs P195 at 11 grams. It is best applied with a sponge or with fingers.

Based on the swatch, the product looks liquid but when blended it turns into powder finish and almost satin-like coverage.

This is how the product looks like on my skin and I'm sorry for looking mad but I'm really not haha!. I like how buildable and easy to blend it is even by just using my mere fingers. As for the coverage, it's semi-full coverage, enough to cover up blemishes and dark spots although I don't really have much blemishes on my face. But for those who have severe discoloration, they might need to apply more on these spots.

As for the longevity I'm pretty impressed because it lasted for like 5 hours based on picture above taken without retouches. There was minimal oiling up and even longer with blotting once. I find this good already since my face oil up easily even when not exposed on too much heat.

But I don't think this can totally hide dark circles although it can lighten just a bit, you might still need to wear a concealer just to even out the color, This product should also be worn first before any other foundation so it can be absorbed by the skin because if not, it would cake up when set over foundation.

With that, I will give this product a 4/5 rate because it performs really well but I think it lacks a bit on the coverage. But overall, I like this product and will definitely buy again. I also recommend it for those who have oily and sensitive skin.

That would be all for this blog post! Thanks for reading!

Maybelline Mat 12 Velvet Matte Lipstick : Review

I just finished my class today and I feel a bit exhausted and felt like posting something on my blog since I owe you guys one from my Instagram post last 2 weeks. I'm starting to love discovering make-ups and learning to do them too on my own because well, it's a must to at least have some knowledge about such. Speaking of make-up, I'm going to share to you another perfect matte lipstick for everyday use that will give you that natural and fresh look which you could perfectly pull of everyday.

I'm talking about the newest liquid matte lipstick that Maybelline has released months from now and it has been on the rave of most women. First because it's Maybelline and you just know how many women love their products even before. Second is it's matte and I think women prefer wearing such finish because it lasts longer and lastly because it's nude and a lot of girls are nude addicts I must say.

So this is how the product looks like. I love the packaging because it looks sophisticated and you can easily see the shade from the tub since it is clear. Others might think that it is just the usual lipstick in the market but it is actually liquid.

I chose Mat 12 which is the only nude shade from this line of lipstick and I'm really in dire need of this lip shade just because I wanna wear it on a daily basis and I don't want to make my everyday look too strong.

This product is liquid and creamy at first so it can easily be applied and with the applicator, there would be no much problem.

Color payoff is really good because with just one layer you can see the product really opaque on the lips and very pigmented. Based on the swatch you might see it more of a pink or peach undertone, it's not too brown but it actually blends well on my lips. It's the kind of nude shade that looks natural but gives more life to the lips which I love the most about this product.

This is how it looks like on my lips. I applied 2 layers on my lips just to make sure the color would stand out since my lips are naturally pink. It is creamy at first but after few minutes it dries into matte finish which can last a decent 4-5 hours.

The downside of this product is that it dries my lips out. I don't know if it's just my lips but I would prefer wearing lip balm or petroleum jelly just to spare my lips from being chapped. Well I think it's normal for matte lipsticks to dry out your lips because I have tried other matte lipsticks before which dry my lips worse than this. Other than that, you will have no problem with this product.

All in all, I must say that this product has exceeded my expectation considering that it only costs P299 which is very cheap for a good product like this. I wish they had more shades tho because I think they only have about 8 shades on this line which is very limited. But I might as well collect the other colors and make a review too.

That would be all for this blog post! Thanks for reading and God bless!

Maybelline So Nude NU37 : Review

I've been looking for a lip product that I could wear everyday to school since I look really pale and dull with my bare lips. Although looking for something that could bring life to my lips, I don't want to wear bright ones because it doesn't look natural. But with Maybelline So Nude Lipstick, I was able to find a solution to my dilemma.

Maybelline So Nude is part of their Color Sensational line of lipstick. It comes in a very simple packaging with a clear and silver tub enough to hold the lipstick. I've been using Maybelline products for quite some time now especially their lip products and I've kept my loyalty throughout the years.

As you can see, it is a pink nude which looks youthful and trendy which is perfect for students like me for everyday use. Not too dark and not too bright, At first, I was actually looking for a nude lipstick with brown undertone so I tried their NU35 which is lighter than this, but when I tried it, I didn't like it because it still makes my lips look dull so I switched to this one and instantly loved it.

I'm not sure if the colors at the bottom of the tub represents the exact color of the actual lipstick but I think it is. One thing that's bothering me here is how Maybelline gives names to its products such as this one, NU37. It doesnt sound appealing at all. Maybe they are trying to integrate more of professionalism but I think I would have loved to buy more if they made some playful names out of the colors. Nevertheless, it is still not a reason not to buy this one.

Here is a swatch on my hand. It looks light on my skin though but just enough to freshen up my look.

This is how it looks like on my lips. It is very creamy and glides easily on my lips. Although I'm looking for a matte lipstick, I think this is better to use everyday since it doesn't dry out my lips which is the major downside of matte lipsticks. One thing that might bother you is the texture as it stays on the lips because it remains sticky on the lips. But it's not actually a big deal for me because it's the main reason why my lips remains moisturized. It can also last long for like 5 hours with no retouches and even after eating.

You can see the whole look here and notice how the the lipstick looks barely there and yet giving life to my lips. I really love this product considering that it only costs P299 which is very cheap for such a high quality product.

So that would be all for this post! Leave your comments about this product and if you also have any other products to suggest, just comment it down. Thank you and God bless!

Floral Shorts

I felt like I needed a break from all the girly dresses I posted on my blog the previous days! Hahaha! Coz you know I'm really not the girly type but whenever I wear those type of dresses I make sure I'm rockin' it. What I'm about to share to you is my usual look when I go out and run my errands. And it is a big must to wear stylish yet comfy clothes whenever we do so because we don't want to ruin such beautiful days with uncomfortable clothes.

Here's the look that I'm going to share to you.The typical look I wear when going out to do some stuff like going to the mall, hanging out with friends and other things.

I'm wearing my plain white sleeveless and floral high-waist shorts with my floral vans.

Shorts are really my weakness. I've got more shorts than pants or skirts on my closet. Not that I want to show off those legs (although they are also one of my best assets) but I just really find it comfortable when going out because the weather here in the Philippines is very conducive for outfits like this.

Since my shorts and shoes are already in floral prints, I decided to just wear this plain top to not overdo the look.

My top is simple yet stylish with its detailed cutouts on the neckline and at the bottom.

I also got lucky to find this pair of floral shoes which matches my shorts. My mom found it and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

The shoes are just perfect for that ragged look and could keep your feet fine even after long walks.

Here goes my look for today! What do you think about it? Leave your comments below :)

Debut 3 (Chic Blue Dress)

This will be my last post for the debut escapade I have been featuring on my blog and I'm really elated with the feedback I'm receiving. For those who weren't able to read my previous blog posts you can check it here:

Debut 1 (Classy Black Dress)
Debut 2 (Playful Floral Dress)

So for my third and last debut post, I have for you a very chic bustier floral dress paired with my gold pumps which I have worn at Bea's 18th birthday.

I love how simple yet striking the dress was. It looks elegant especially with gold pumps I was wearing which matches my white and gold necklace. Since the dress has a sweetheart neck and it looks bare, I decided to put on those fabulous necklace which was given to me during my debut.

You've seen how simple the dress was but that's not all because it has a bit revealing back with its really cute ribbon. Among the 3 backless dresses I have worn, this I think is the most conservative.

Sorry for the blurred photos. My phone couldn't capture the scene well. But I want to share to you how beautiful and magical the place was covered with sparkling lights. The lights sparkle with the studs and diamonds on my necklace and shoes.

Again I'm thankful with my makeup artist and hairstylist who made me look stunning that night with my simple makeup and hairdo. I preferred my hair straight to really pull off that simple yet elegant look. Just to let you know, my hair is all natural. I didn't put anything on it, they didn't iron it. I just let it dry and yes it looks like that.

Of course this post won't be complete without my boyfriend who escorted me all throughout that night. The place is just perfect for us. The lights added a romantic vibe on the photos.

And here's our selfie that night :)

Our cute photo from the photobooth!

Photos with my friends

Lastly a photo with the beautiful debutante who looks like barbie! Her dress is gorgeous I wanna steal it. Hahaha!

That would be all for my debut escapade! Thank you for staying tuned with my posts and I love reading all your comments. So for this last post, just comment what you think is the best dress I wore on the 3 debuts I attended. I just wanna know :)
